  • As a TA, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our YBC participants, aged 13-18, as they embark on their entrepreneurial journey on Aug 13-17, 2023. You will play a vital role in assisting our program instructors in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, workshops, and activities that focus on building essential business skills, knowledge, and mindset.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist instructors in preparing and delivering lessons, workshops, and activities related to entrepreneurship, business concepts, and skills.

    • Provide support to participants during class sessions, workshops, and group activities.

    • Assistwith class materials preparation and administrative tasks as needed.

    • Mentor and guide participants in developing their business ideas, plans, and strategies.

    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all participants.

    • Collaborate with other TAs, instructors, and program staff to ensure smooth program operations.

    Qualifications:

    • G12 graduate or higher education. Past YBC participants will be a plus.

    • Passion for youth entrepreneurship and education.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work effectively in a team and with diverse groups of participants.

    • Knowledge of basic business concepts and skills.

    • Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or working with youth is a plus but not mandatory.

    • Availability to commit to the program schedule and attendance during program sessions.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Video Editing: Create engaging and informative promotional videos for the 2024 YBC using editing software.

    2. Poster Making: Design visually appealing posters to promote the 2024 YBC event across various platforms.

    3. Photo Shooting: Capture high-quality images during YBC events, workshops, and competitions for promotional materials.

    4. Social Media Management: Develop and implement social media strategies to increase the online presence and engagement of the 2024 YBC program.

    5. Collaborate: Work closely with the YBC team to align marketing efforts with program objectives and goals.

    6. Content Creation: Generate creative and compelling content for social media posts, newsletters, and other marketing materials.

    7. Analytics: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns to identify areas for improvement and optimize strategies accordingly.

    8. Support: Provide general support to the marketing team and assist with other tasks and initiatives as needed.

    Qualifications:

    1. Proficiency in video editing software.

    2. Experience in graphic design and poster making.

    3. Strong photography skills and knowledge of photo editing software.

    4. Familiarity with social media platforms and experience managing social media accounts for organizations or events.

    5. Creative mindset and ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.

    6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    7. Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

    8. Previous experience in marketing or related fields is preferred but not required.

    9. Enthusiasm for the mission and goals of the Youth Business Competition.

  • Responsibilities:

    1. Hosting: Serve as the official host and master of ceremonies for the final competition of the 2024 Youth Business Competition (YBC).

    2. Agenda Management: Introduce speakers, presenters, and performers according to the event agenda.

    3. Engagement: Interact with the audience to maintain energy and enthusiasm throughout the event.

    4. Time Management: Ensure the event stays on schedule by managing timing for each segment and transition.

    5. Public Speaking: Deliver opening and closing remarks, as well as other scripted speeches, with confidence and clarity.

    6. Adherence to Protocol: Follow established event protocols and guidelines provided by the YBC organizing committee.

    7. Flexibility: Adapt to unforeseen changes or adjustments during the event with professionalism and composure.

    8. Collaboration: Work closely with the event organizers, speakers, performers, and other volunteers to ensure smooth execution of the event.

    9. Representing YBC: Serve as a positive ambassador for the Youth Business Competition and uphold its values and mission throughout the event.

    Qualifications:

    1. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to engage and captivate an audience.

    2. Charismatic Presence: Natural charisma, confidence, and stage presence are essential for commanding attention and keeping the audience engaged.

    3. Public Speaking Experience: Prior experience as an MC, host, or public speaker at events is preferred but not required.

    4. Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times during the event.

    5. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes or unexpected situations with grace and flexibility.

    6. Team Player: Collaborative spirit and willingness to work closely with event organizers and other volunteers.

    7. Enthusiasm: Passion for the mission and goals of the Youth Business Competition and a genuine interest in supporting young entrepreneurs.

    8. Time Commitment: Availability to attend and host the final competition event, including rehearsals and preparation sessions as needed.

    1. Supervision: Monitor the dormitory area to ensure the safety and security of participants.

    2. Check-In/Check-Out: Assist participants with the check-in and check-out process, including distributing room keys and providing basic information about the dormitory facilities.

    3. Room Assignment: Help assign participants to their designated rooms and provide directions to their respective accommodations.

    4. Assistance: Offer assistance and guidance to participants as needed, including providing information about nearby amenities, facilities, and dining options.

    5. Rule Enforcement: Enforce dormitory rules and regulations to maintain a peaceful and respectful living environment for all participants.

    6. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond promptly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents that may arise in the dormitory area.

    7. Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with event organizers and other volunteers to coordinate tasks and address any issues or concerns.

    8. Support: Provide emotional support and encouragement to participants, particularly those who may be feeling homesick or overwhelmed by the event.

    9. Cleanliness: Ensure that the dormitory area remains clean and tidy throughout the event, including common areas such as lounges, bathrooms, and laundry facilities.

    10. Teamwork: Collaborate with other dormitory attendants and event staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for all participants.

    Qualifications:

    1. Responsible: Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of maintaining confidentiality when necessary.

    2. Friendly: Approachable, courteous, and able to interact positively with participants of diverse backgrounds.

    3. Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and calmly in potentially stressful situations.

    4. Problem-Solving: Resourceful and able to think quickly and creatively to resolve issues or address concerns as they arise.

    5. Flexible: Willing to adapt to changing circumstances and perform various tasks as needed to support the overall success of the event.

    6. Empathetic: Compassionate and understanding, with a genuine desire to support and assist participants during their stay.

    7. Previous Experience: Prior experience in a similar role, such as residential assistant or camp counselor, is preferred but not required.

    8. Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to serve as a dormitory attendant volunteer.

    9. Availability: Able to commit to the designated schedule for the duration of the event, including any required training or orientation sessions.
